Recent Comments Page Added

Some of the most valuable information on our site are the comments and ratings posted by our visitors. We get new information every day. To make it easier to find, we've created a new Recent Comments page to showcase the most recent feedback. You can navigate to it from the new Comments box on the left side of every page on the main part of our website.

This is just the first of several new ways we'll be presenting this valuable information for you. Other pages will be added to show the most highly rated businesses, the most hotly debated, etc. Let us know if have an idea for a new way you'd like to see these comments and ratings.

Resources Page Added

Several visitors have requested that we add a page for resources such as support and meet-up groups, doctors and medical facilities, dietitians and nutritionists, etc. Like most of the suggestions we receive, we thought this was a great idea and the page has been added. As with our Registries, we wanted our visitors to be able to provide comments and ratings about these Resources.

Please take a moment to e-mail us at registrars@glutenfreeregistry.com with information on any resources you think would be valuable to share with the rest of the gluten-free community. Our daily traffic has grown faster than we dreamed and the information you provide could help someone either newly diagnosed, or a GF veteran. Thank you for your participation!

Sincerely,

The Registrar Team

Comments/Ratings Now By Location

Starting today new comments and ratings are being tracked by business location. This will help locations that stand out from the rest get the praise they deserve! You'll still see all of the comments and ratings for the business, but the location information will also be included for new posts added starting today.

Thanks for the suggestion and keep them coming!

Sincerely,

The Registrar Team

Search by City

Our database of gluten-free friendly businesses has grown past a whopping 10,700 business locations! As a result we've received feedback about needing the ability to search by city within a state. This weekend we added that feature. Simply select a state, then select a city within that state. Give it a test drive, and keep those suggestions coming!

Sincerely,

The Registrar Team

Hope and promise - GF going mainstream!

Last weekend we went grocery shopping. Many of your know that shopping with Celiac disease at one of the large grocery chains can be a very depressing and frustrating experience. But this weekend we saw yet another example of a major corporation getting on board with gluten-free.

General Mills™, the giant food manufacturer, has changed the recipe for their popular Rice Chex® cereal to be gluten-free. This wasn't just some random recipe change that happened to make their product gluten-free. They are actually marketing Rice Chex® with Gluten-Free in big bold print on the front of the box!

We could, for the first time, buy a GF cereal in the cereal isle of a major grocery store chain just like everyone else! It sounds like such a trivial thing, but it has provided us with a renewed sense of hope and promise. General Mills™ is now a sponsor of the Celiac Disease Foundation, and have even added some GF recipes on their website. Look for other manufacturers to follow suit.

Sincerely,

The Registrar Team
